The mixing of the new EP is now done. The mastering starts this weekend, and by thuesday next week everything should be done. Donīt miss the releaseparty at Belsepub, Gbg next friday, this will be a night to remember. Day 6-7 - [Vocals] After a bad throat infection Daniel came in to the studio this weekend to lay down some heavy screaming and some beautiful tones, and friends, I could say he was in awesome shape. Daniel put 75% of all the vocals on tape this weekend and this is really his best work to date, and friends you know just how great he could be so weīre living on clouds right now. Right now, weīre having a couple of days off to work with all stuff surrounding the new album, but we will be back in the studio this coming weekend to complete the vocals + some really cool new instruments overdubs. Weīre working with some new instruments that you never heard us use before, so just wait a couple of weeks and we will give you one hell of suprise. /Christian - The Dementation Dept. ------------------------------ STUDIO UPDATE PART 3
Day 5 - [Overdubs] All music & most overdubs is done. Everyting is sounding so amazing. Daniel will start laying down the vocals this weekend, so be sure to stay tune for some more studio update in the coming days. /Christian - The Dementation Dept. ------------------------------ STUDIO UPDATE PART 2
Day 2 - [Guitars] Slept late - came in to the studio in the early afternoon. Fredrik amazed us all by creating such a superb guitar sound. Guitar recordings started around mid-afternoon and it went so smooth. When the clock hit 21.00 Fredrik had put all his rythm guitars on tape. Another brilliant day, so we decided to take the rest of the night off. Day 3 - [Bass & More Guitars] Slept late again - came in to the studio in the early afternoon. Fredrik once again amazed us by creating a brutal & mean bass sound. The bass recordings started around mid-afternoon and once again it all went so smooth. I donīt know, but we must have been nice this year, cause this is going so easy (or could it be that we rehearshed day and night for the last months, haha - I think not). At 23.00 I had completed all the bass & even done some overdubs with some other cool sounds. At this point everyone was ready to go home, but Fredrik had other plans. He wanted to test some other guitar stuff on 1 track, well his idea was so genius that we work on this until 04.00 in the morning. At this point we nearly could leave, cause it sounded so damn good, but we decided to get some sleep and meet up again the next day. Day 4 - [More Guitars] Got in to the studio around 18.00 and continued laying down more of Fredriks new guitar stuff. All songs have now gone through his new treatment and damn it sounds so amazing. We will take tomorrow off and then we will be back in the studio on Wednesday to add some more overdubs + some weird instruments... /Christian - The Dementation Dept. ------------------------------ Studio Update!
Greetings everyone! Today we started the recordings of the new album, and we couldnīt have wished for a better start. Anton went in to the drum room - 3 hours later - he came out and all drum tracking was ready. How amazing isnīt that... Whatīs even more amazing is that I have never, ever been involved in a recording session where the drums sounds so tight, groovy & intense. This will be the follow-up to last yearīs critically acclamied
debut album The Awkward Silence. We have allready done pre-production of 6 awesome songs and are currently working on a couple of more songs before we head in to the studio. This is definitley the most intense music we ever have created... American Liberation will be released through Mind Riot Records in late May.
